Manufacturing

Take a good look around you! See that computer you are looking at? The chair you are sitting on and even the clock on the wall? They have all been manufactured by someone or something. From the time you wake up in the morning and turn off your alarm, till the time you go to bed at night, you are interacting with manufactured goods. It is all around us everyday and you would have to travel very far away to escape it!

Simply put manufacturing is the use of tools and labor to make things for use or sale. The term may refer to a range of human activity, from handicraft to high tech, but is most commonly applied to industrial production, in which raw materials are transformed into finished goods on a large scale.

Progressive Educational systems have developed a few training systems to address your manufacturing needs. These include the old favorite, hands-on, practical and useful, Basic Electricity and Wiring Module that introduces students to the electrical trade. Or the new and exciting Rapid Prototyping/3D Printing Module and the Laser Engraving Module where students use ultra modern technology to simply print there design in 3 dimension or use a computer guided laser to mark or cut their design.
